Valentine's Day

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not be shaken, nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10

These are the beautiful faces of the children at ABC. Behind them is a banner of sorts - signed by the children of Vanguard Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We wanted them to know how much they are loved by God and by us.

Today I hope each person affected by the earthquake will be touched by Jesus' great love for them. Happy Valentine's Day ABC.

ABC, or Ayungon Bible Church, is a non-denominational, independent Bible church located on Negros (Oriental) Island, Philippines.

After over 30 years of living in the U.S., Ed and Paz Dayday (aka Eling and Pacing) retired from their jobs in 2002 and moved back to be with their family in their hometown of Ayungon, where they were born and raised. They built a house on their family lot in Awa-an, and they, along with Pastor Fred Aquino of the Philippine Independent Baptist Church of Atlanta, GA founded ABC in July 2003.

Due to the recent Feb. 6, 2012 earthquake that hit Negros Island, the main sanctuary was destroyed, along with many of the Bibles, hymnals, books in the library/office. The church, along with the rest of Negros Island, has lost much, but we are not without hope that God will provide and strengthen His people in this season of loss and recovery.

During the summer of 2012, Ed & Paz are in the States raising awareness of their needs. Their sister church - Clarkston International Baptist Church in Clarkston, Georgia - has agreed to help ABC by accepting tax-deductible donations (check made out to CIBC but designated to ABC in the memo line).
