Life Group 42

Life Group 42 is the small group of families from Vanguard Church that Patti and Mark belong to.  They consist of 14 adults, 2 teens, 10 children and 1 baby.  When they heard about the earthquake in February, they immediately stepped up and sent money for the relief efforts.  They have prayed for and cared for the people of ABC from far away.  So it was a sweet time of fellowship when they met Ed and Paz for the first time tonight at their every other Sunday potluck and meeting.
Ed and Paz made Filipino dishes of PANCIT AND LUMPIA - everyone loved it.

It was their first time to share with American friends - the hardship and struggles as well as ongoing joys and victories of life and ministry in Ayungon.  Everyone was blessed to hear their stories, see photos and pray & dream of ways to continue partnering with them in sharing God's love with the people of Ayungon and Tibyawan.  Yes, we even talked about a short term trip to help with re-building!  Wouldn't that be awesome!

While they are in the States for the next month or so, Ed and Paz are more than happy to join small groups and churches - to share about their life and needs in Ayungon and advocate for the families at Ayungon Bible Church and daughter church Tibyawan Bible Church.  Please give them a call or email Ed at his email if you would like to arrange a group meeting and have them share.  They hope to go to Dallas, Houston, Chicago and Atlanta while they are Stateside.

Stateside

Ed and Paz have decided to fly to the States, where they will visit family and friends.  Here are some of their photos from their travels so far.

Their port of entry was Los Angeles, where they stayed a few days with their son Eulogio, Jr. (fondly known as "Jr." as he was growing up in Chicago and Dallas), his wife Juliet and their 5 year old daughter Cecilia.

They flew to Colorado Springs where their daughter Patti, her husband Mark and children live and where they consider their home-base.  Grandkids Kellyn and Rylie greeted their Lolo and Lola with hugs and a sign.

The day after they arrived was Mother's Day - it was special to celebrate it together for the first time in awhile, along with Mark's family who live in Colorado Springs.

We pray for a restful and productive trip as Ed and Paz acclimate to the weather, altitude and time zone.
